33rd Convocation of ISMM (GDPSCM 2020-2023)

The 33rd ISMM Convocation honored our graduates who completed the 3-year Graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management. Congratulations to all!

The 33rd ISMM Convocation to award Diplomas to students who successfully completed the 3-year Graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Course (Batch 2020 - 2023) was held at the BMICH Lotus Hall on 19th July 2024. The event marked a significant milestone in the academic journey of the graduates, who are now poised to make meaningful contributions to the supply chain sector. The Chief Guest for the convocation was Mr. Shantha Weerasinghe, Secretary of the Ministry of Industries, and the Guest of Honor was Mr. Damith Abeyratne, Executive Director and Director of Supply Chain at Unilever Sri Lanka Limited. Their presence underscored the importance of the occasion and highlighted the critical role that supply chain management plays in industry and commerce.

Special Memorial Awards Several outstanding students were recognized with special memorial awards for their exceptional academic performance: Capt. V T D Amaratunga SLN Memorial Award for the Best Student: Irusha Maduranga Mendis Weerasinghe Mr. S A P Rupasinghe Memorial Award for the Second-Best Student: Amila Nilantha Hettiarachchi Gp. Capt. A H Puvimanasinghe Memorial Award for the Third-Best Student: Sudeera Deelanka Abeyagunasekera.

The convocation was graced by the presence of many esteemed guests, including: President of ISMM, Mr. Jayantha Gallehewa, President OPA, Immediate Past President of ISMM, and Chairman of the Professional and Training Development Committee, Mr. Sarath Gamage, General Secretary Dr. Sanath Divakara, Vice Presidents Mr. Dimuka Hemantha, Mr. Lilantha Subasinghe, Maj. Gen. Renaka Udawatte (Rtd), Treasurer Mr. Dharshana Wijemanna, Director of Training and Administration, Capt. Akram Alavi (Rtd), Course Director, Mr. Priyanga Kirihena, Editor, Mr. Milinda Obeysekara, Several council members, faculty members, and ISMM staff also attended the event, demonstrating their support and commitment to the graduates.
