Course in International Trade and Logistics (ITL-E)

The Institute of Supply and Materials Management was founded in 1973 and was incorporated by Act of Parliament in 1981. In accordance with the objectives of the Institute, the Institute conducts courses and examinations regularly to improve the competence of persons engaged in Supply and Materials Management.

In order to improve the knowledge, techniques and practices in the areas of International Trade, Shipping, Air Cargo and Containerization procedures and Import and Export Trade, we have made arrangements to conduct the above-mentioned course.

    • Introduction to Logistics and Supply Chain Management
    • Shipping and Air cargo Procedure
    • Container Operations and Handling Procedure
    • Banking and Marine Insurance
    • Packing and Packaging
    • Sri Lanka Customs and Sri Lanka Ports Authority Procedures
    • Legal Aspects, Financial Implications and Controls

    For Whom:

    Those who are engaged in or wish to seek employment in shipping and import/export,Managers and Executives to gain new knowledge to work efficiently and effectively.

    Entry Requirements:

    Pass at the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination with English as a subject or those who are presently engaged in this field, with minimum three years experience.
