The Institute of Supply and Materials Management (ISMM), recognized as the National Professional Institute for Supply Chain Management Education in Sri Lanka, hosted a highly successful workshop on “𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒄 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕: 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝑺𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒄, 𝑻𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒏𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒚-𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝑬𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒄 𝑳𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒑𝒆.” The event took place on 21st January 2025 at the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), Colombo, attracting over 100 industry professionals from various sectors.
The full-day session, held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., provided participants with valuable insights into aligning procurement strategies with emerging technologies and systematic approaches to enhance operational efficiency in an evolving economic landscape.
The workshop was enriched by the expertise of distinguished resource persons: Mr. Sanath Dassanayake, Corporate Trainer and Lecturer, Supply Chain Consultant – Hemas Hospitals and Laboratory Chain, Senior Consultant – DAASH Global Consulting and Mr. R. A. C. Harshalal, Senior Lecturer and Course Director, ISMM.
The event was graced by the participation of key leaders from ISMM: Mr. Lilantha Subasinghe, Vice President of ISMM, Prof. (Dr. Eng.) Sanath Divakara, General Secretary, ISMM, Capt. Akram Alavi (Rtd), Director of Training, ISMM.
The workshop provided an excellent platform for professionals to explore innovative procurement strategies, understand the integration of technology in Supply Chain processes, and exchange knowledge on best practices in the industry.
