35th Convocation of ISMM – GDPSCM Batch 2022–2025
A Day of Pride and Achievement
The 35th Convocation Ceremony of the Graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (GDPSCM) – Batch 2022–2025, organized by the Institute of Supply and Materials Management (ISMM), was held with great pride and distinction on 16th January 2026 at the prestigious BMICH, Colombo.
This landmark occasion marked the successful culmination of academic dedication and professional development for 49 graduates, who were formally conferred with their Graduate Diplomas in the presence of an audience exceeding 300 participants, comprising distinguished guests, academic staff, family members, and well-wishers.
The ceremony was graced by His Excellency David Pine, High Commissioner of New Zealand to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring address, he emphasized the importance of global collaboration, adaptability, and ethical leadership in shaping resilient and future-ready supply chains in an increasingly interconnected world.
The event also welcomed Mr. Thusith Gunawarnasuriya, Chief Executive Officer of Siam City Cement (Lanka) Limited, as the Guest of Honour. He shared valuable industry insights, highlighting the critical role of strategic supply chain management in driving organizational competitiveness, sustainability, and national economic growth.
The ceremony was further honoured by the presence of Mr. Lilantha Subasinghe, President of ISMM, along with several Past Presidents of ISMM, current Office Bearers, and Members of the ISMM Council. The participation of the ISMM Academic Panel, whose guidance and expertise shaped the graduates’ academic journey, added immense value to the occasion.
The presence of graduates’ family members and loved ones brought a warm and celebratory spirit to the event, making the convocation a truly memorable milestone. More than a celebration of academic success, the ceremony recognized the resilience, commitment, and aspirations of the GDPSCM Batch 2022–2025, as they step forward as competent professionals ready to lead and transform the evolving field of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management.
