ISMM Conducts Workshop on Data Analysis, Visualization & Data-Driven Decision Making for Modern Supply Chain Practices
Colombo, Sri Lanka – 27th January 2026 —
The Institute of Supply and Materials Management (ISMM), Sri Lanka’s National Professional Institute for Supply Chain Management Education, successfully conducted a full-day professional workshop titled “Data Analysis, Visualization & Data-Driven Decision Making for Modern Supply Chain Practices” on 27th January 2026.
The workshop attracted a diverse group of professionals representing the Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Demand Planning, and Logistics sectors, reflecting the growing importance of analytics-driven decision-making in modern business environments. The intensive full-day session, held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., provided participants with practical knowledge and tools to enhance data interpretation, visualization techniques, performance analysis, and strategic decision-making capabilities within supply chain operations.
The session was expertly led by Mr. Nilshan Perera, Lecturer at ISMM and Head of Business Analytics at Lanwa Group, whose industry-focused approach enabled participants to gain hands-on insights into applying analytics for operational efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and business optimization.
The event was further honoured by the presence of senior ISMM leadership, including: Mr. Lilantha Subasinghe – President, ISMM, Dr. (Eng.) Sanath Divakara – Vice President & Chairman, PD & TC, Mr. Priyanga Kirihena – General Secretary, ISMM, along with members of the ISMM staff, reaffirming the Institute’s strong commitment to continuous professional development and industry-driven education.
This highly interactive workshop provided an invaluable platform for professionals to strengthen their understanding of data-driven supply chain management, enabling them to transform raw data into actionable insights, improve business performance, and build future-ready organizations.
